The PGA Tour continues in the Lone Star State as the best golfers in the world compete in the 2022 Valero Texas Open. Established in 1922, the tournament is one of the oldest on the tour and will tee off at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio. This year’s tournament will feature 2021 winner Jordan Speith, Rory McIlroy, reigning Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau, and more.
This year’s purse is $8.6 million with a winner’s share of $1.548 million. The tournament hasn’t had a multiple-time winner since Zach Johnson won it consecutively in 2008 and 2009. Arnold Palmer and Justin Leonard are the only two golfers to win the event 3 times.
