Apple just hired a new executive who’s previously spent time at both Hulu and Quibi in distribution roles. Tim Connelly was hired to join Apple’s video division with no official role title known yet. Since Connelly’s previous jobs were to negotiate distribution deals, his association with Apple is likely to build new bundle deals for Apple TV+.

At Hulu, Connelly tackled projects like Live TV deals and the promo with Spotify that gives users access to both the video and music streaming services at a bundled price. He also worked on marketing and advertising partnerships at Quibi.

Apple taking Connelly on will give The Fruit some experienced talent for creating package deals that include Apple TV+ subscriptions. Most recently, Apple launched its first partnership deal for Apple TV+ subscribers. With the new bundle, you can get CBS All Access and Showtime for just $9.99 a month along with an active Apple TV+ subscription.
