ESPN+ will be increasing its price from $4.99 per month to $5.99 per month for new subscribers. The price hike goes into effect next week. For existing subscribers, the price will stay locked in at $4.99 per month for one year.

While the monthly price of the ESPN+ app will increase, the annual price of $49.99 per year will remain the same. The bundle price of $12.99 per month for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ will also remain the same.

This is the first price hike for the ESPN+ streaming service since it launched in April 2018. The service has reached 8.5 million paid subscribers, with 600,000 new subscribers signing up in the most recent quarter.  Disney cited recent UFC pay per view events as a driver of new signups, along with the return of some live sports.
