Last year, Philo added access to HBO Max’s ad-supported package to its Core plan, which later became the Bundle+ plan. Now, subscribers have the option of upgrading to an ad-free plan.

Bundle+ automatically includes access to HBO Max, allowing subscribers to watch series and films from HBO, Warner Bros., A24, Studio Ghibli, and more. Upgrading to the Standard plan costs $13 per month and allows a user to watch that content without ads. Upgrading also means getting access to live sports on HBO Max, the Multiview feature, and the ability to download content to watch offline.

To upgrade, after signing up for Philo, visit your account page and select Manage Plan. There, you can add the HBO Max Standard add-on to your subscription. After adding HBO Max Standard, you can watch HBO Max originals directly in the Philo app or access all HBO Max content including ad-free movies, shows, and live sports in the HBO Max app.

In total, the Bundle+ plan with the upgrade to HBO Max’s ad-free Standard plan costs $47 per month.

In addition to HBO Max, the Philo Bundle+ includes AMC+ and Discovery+. If you don’t need the premium channels, you can save some money by signing up for the Essential plan, which includes 70+ live channels, 80,000+ movies and shows on demand, and unlimited DVR. The Essentials plan costs $25 per month after a free trial.
