The animated musical DAVID, a box office hit and the highest-grossing faith-based animated theatrical musical of all time, is now streaming on Angel.com and through the Angel app. The family-friendly epic, which earned an A CinemaScore and a 98% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, is available exclusively to members of the Angel Guild.
DAVID grossed nearly $80 million in domestic theaters and set a new record for the best three-day opening in Angel’s history. Featuring the voice of multi-platinum recording artist Phil Wickham and a soundtrack that cracked the Billboard Christian Album Top 10, the film has already logged over 20 million streams across music platforms.

The film’s mix of sweeping animation and inspiring storytelling has drawn comparisons to the likes of Pixar and DreamWorks. RogerEbert.com praised its “screen-popping visuals,” while Crosswalk called it “the best animated Bible movie since The Prince of Egypt.”
Telling the legendary story of David, from shepherd boy to king, the film features a standout cast including Wickham as David, Brandon Engman as young David, and Brian Stivale as the Prophet Samuel. The animation was produced by Sunrise Animation Studios in South Africa, with co-directors Phil Cunningham and Brent Dawes leading a team of global artists.
