Peacock is turning Super Bowl Sunday into a 4K showcase. On Sunday, February 8, NBCUniversal will present Super Bowl LX and live Winter Olympics coverage from Milan-Cortina in 4K HDR on both NBC and n Peacock. The move gives viewers roughly 17 hours of premium 4K HDR programming across the day.

What to Know

  • 4K HDR all day: Peacock (and NBC) will carry Olympic coverage in the morning, Super Bowl pregame and the game itself in the evening, then return to Olympic primetime in Italy. All in 4K HDR.
  • A long 4K day: Coverage begins with the Olympics at 7:00 a.m. ET, Super Bowl pregame at noon ET, kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET, and Olympic primetime around 10:45 p.m. ET. Roughly 17 hours of 4K HDR action.
  • Multiview on mobile: Peacock will debut its popular Multiview feature in beta on mobile during the Winter Games, featuring a vertical, four-box layout that curates top events and even offers event-specific Multiviews (curling included).
  • Next-level production: NBC Sports is bringing heavy production muscle to Legendary February with more than 80 cameras, 150 microphones, new graphics, Weather Applied Metrics, and other tech aimed at richer storytelling and unique angles.

“When you’re about to present the biggest month in U.S. sports media history, you want to make sure you’re giving fans the best experience possible – so that’s exactly what we have planned on NBC and Peacock for Super Bowl LX, the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, and NBA All-Star Weekend,” said Rick Cordella, President, NBC Sports. “Building on NBC Sports’ long-standing commitment to innovation across all platforms, we’ll be celebrating the action on the field, slopes and court with our signature storytelling, state-of-the-art production, and dynamic streaming features that together bring these incredible sporting events to life for audiences at home.”

On February 8, Peacock’s “4K All Day” is a major win for cord cutters who love watching big live events at their best. With sharper picture, deeper contrast, and more lifelike color, 4K HDR illuminates big screens with details like the turf, slow-motion replays, and tight close-ups. Peacock streaming the Super Bowl in 4K means subscribers can get the same high-res feed that broadcast viewers expect.
