Fubo Lost NBC, MS Now, & CNBC 2 Weeks Ago Today With No Deal In Sight – Can Fubo Survive?

Today marks exactly two weeks since Fubo subscribers across the United States lost access to the entire lineup of NBCUniversal channels, and the standoff between the sports-first streaming service and Comcast’s media giant shows no signs of thawing.

The blackout began abruptly on November 21, 2025, after the two companies failed to reach a new carriage agreement. Almost overnight, roughly 1.6 million Fubo households woke up without local NBC and Telemundo affiliates, national feeds of NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Golf Channel, and the full portfolio of NBC Sports regional networks including NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, NBC Sports Boston, and NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Are you a Fubo subscriber and need NBC? Here are a few options to get NBC during the Fubo contract fight.

The timing has proven especially painful for sports fans. The dispute erupted in the heart of the NBA and NHL regular seasons and just as Sunday Night Football, Premier League matches on USA Network, and Big Ten college football on NBC were hitting their stride. Viewers in major markets suddenly found themselves without official coverage of the Warriors, Sharks, Celtics, Bruins, Kings, 76ers, and Flyers, forcing many to dust off antennas or subscribe to competing live TV streaming services.

Fubo has publicly framed the fight as a stand against unfair pricing and forced bundling. The company claims NBCUniversal demanded significantly higher carriage fees than those accepted by larger distributors such as YouTube TV and DIRECTV, fees that would ultimately be passed on to consumers for channels many sports-focused subscribers rarely watch. The streamer also pointed to NBCUniversal’s ability to bundle its Peacock streaming service with rival platforms as evidence of discriminatory treatment toward smaller competitors.

NBCUniversal has countered that its proposed rates are consistent with hundreds of existing distribution deals and accused Fubo of habitually walking away from agreements, citing the ongoing absence of Warner Bros. Discovery channels (including TNT, TBS, CNN, and HBO) that have been missing from the platform for months.

In an attempt to retain frustrated customers, Fubo began issuing a $15 monthly credit to affected accounts starting December 1, effectively lowering the cost of its base plan to $64.99 for the month of December plus any fees. Fubo also announced today that they would cut the price of their service for new customers starting at just $73.99 for new customers.

So how close are the two sides? For now it looks like they are very far apart as Fubo cutting its price is likely driven by fears that they will not be restoring Fubo anytime soon.

Fubo’s history suggests this one could drag on considerably longer. The platform’s prolonged separation from Warner Bros. Discovery programming remains unresolved, and public statements from both sides over the past fourteen days have grown increasingly sharp rather than conciliatory.

With NFL Sunday Night Football, holiday specials, and New Year’s Eve programming on the horizon, pressure is mounting. Yet the recent pattern (YouTube TV quickly resolved a similar standoff with Disney just weeks ago, while Fubo has left multiple programmers dark for extended periods) suggests viewers should temper expectations.

For now, the nearly complete NBCUniversal lineup, including newer streaming channels such as NBC NOW, Noticias Telemundo Ahora, and various franchise-specific vaults, remains unavailable on America’s self-proclaimed sports streaming leader. Until a deal is reached, or regulatory attention intensifies, cord-cutters who chose Fubo for its robust RSN and national sports coverage are left searching for workarounds or considering a switch to competitors that currently carry the missing networks.
