DIRECTV has secured deals to add nearly 650 local broadcast stations to its MySports Genre Pack. The agreements mean that viewers in most markets will now have access to their local ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates, along with the FOX affiliates that were already in place.
With the addition of hundreds of local stations, DIRECTV is offering a deal for new customers. Right now, you can get the MySports package for $59.99 per month for the first two months. You’ll also get the MySports Extra mini pack of eight specialty sports channels, including NFL RedZone, at no additional cost.
DIRECTV now has agreements in place with most of the top ten broadcasters, every top twenty broadcaster, and nearly 40 smaller broadcasters, establishing 132 new MySports agreements covering approximately 650 local broadcast stations.
“We created MySports to provide consumers more choice and flexibility in their viewing options while creating exceptional value,” said Rob Thun, Chief Content Officer at DIRECTV. “We have always been a sports leader, especially with respect to local sports, and appreciate the widespread support from America’s broadcasters in creating these more consumer-friendly programming options.”
In addition to local channels, the MySports pack offers over 25 channels like ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, Golf Channel, SEC Network, TNT, and USA Network, plus major league and college conference feeds—ideal for die-hard fans craving live action. The pack also gives you access to the new ESPN Unlimited service.
