HBO Max is Expanding to 12 More Countries

Warner Bros. Discovery announced today that HBO Max is expanding to 12 more countries in July. The platform will be available in Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Tajikistan.

Users in those 12 countries will have access to HBO Max’s lineup of content from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, and DC Studios, plus Max Originals and more. Sports, including tennis Grand Slams and cycling Grand Tours, will be available in select countries

“Our continued global expansion of HBO Max is helping fuel the great momentum we continue to see for the service,” said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery. “These 12 countries will be followed by a few additional markets later this year, and launches in Germany, Italy and the U.K. early next year. Each new market further positions HBO Max as a worldwide destination for the best in entertainment.”

In the 12 new countries, users will be able to choose from the Standard Plan with two simultaneous streams and HD resolution, and the Premium Plan with up to four simultaneous streams and 4K UHD resolution.
