The 2025 NBA Finals pit the Western Conference’s top seed, the Oklahoma City Thunder, against the No. 4 seed from the East, the Indiana Pacers. ABC will be home of the best-of-four series with the winner taking home their first Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

For the first time since 2012 and the second time in their history since relocating to OKC, the Thunder have returned to the NBA Finals. Led by 2025 NBA MVP and Western Conference Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the team completed the regular season at a stellar 68–14, earning home-court advantage for the first time in franchise history. At home, the Thunder are 8-1 so far this postseason after defeating the Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Timberwolves on their road to the Finals. With many key players making their first appearance in the championship series, OKC is the youngest Finals team since Portland in 1977. Fortune is on OKC’s side as they handily defeated the Pacers in both regular-season matchups.

For the second time since joining the NBA, the Indiana Pacers are in the Finals. The Pacers, who were founding members of the ABA, have three titles from those days, but lost their lone NBA Finals appearance in 2000 to the LA Lakers. This year’s team secured the fourth seed after finishing 50–32, marking their first 50-win campaign since 2014. On their way to tonight’s game, the Pacers had clutch moments in each of their series victories against the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks. With big contributions from franchise star Tyrese Haliburton and constant play from 2025 Eastern Conference MVP Pascal Siakam.

As tip-off approaches, the stage is set for two small-market teams who were built on depth, chemistry, and clutch performances to compete in a best-of-four series for their first NBA title. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the 2025 NBA Finals live.
