History is just days away as the 2025 WNBA preseason begins with multiple games streaming and being broadcast nationally for the first time. This year’s WBA preseason features 15 games, with four airing on national networks: ESPN, ION, and NBA TV. Hoops fans can watch 14 of the 15 preseason matchups for free with a preview of WNBA League Pass on the Watch tab of the WNBA App. ESPN will exclusively broadcast the 15th game.

On Friday, May 2, WNBA action tips off with a doubleheader on ION. Paige Bueckers, the first selection of the 2025 WNBA Draft, and the Dallas Wings take on the two-time WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces live from the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The game will feature former Fighting Irish stars Jackie Young, Arike Ogunbowale, and Jewell Loyd, in the first of many games that will see WNBA stars play at their college campuses

“We’ve seen the demand for WNBA content grow exponentially and we are meeting that demand by working with our broadcast partners and our teams to make a significant investment by making all 15 preseason games available to WNBA fans,” said WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison. “It will be the ultimate way for fans to follow their favorite players as all 13 teams prepare to tip off the regular season in mid-May. And the preseason schedule itself, with superstars returning to the arenas where they starred in college and in some cases, teams from around the world serving as opponents, brings an entirely new level of excitement to the WNBA preseason.”

With Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or any other compatible device, viewers can stream WNBA preseason action on the WNBA app, and on ESPN, ION, and NBA TV with a live TV streaming service.

All three networks can be found on DIRECTVFubo, and YouTube TV. Additionally, ESPN and NBA TV can be found on Sling TV, while ION is available on Frndly TV, and you can watch for free with an antenna in most markets. Lastly, Hulu + Live TV offers ESPN in its lineup of over 90 channels.
