In a move to make the NFL Sunday Ticket more accessible, YouTube has announced a new monthly payment option for the premium sports package, allowing fans to spread the cost of out-of-market Sunday NFL games over 12 months. First reported by The TV Answer Man, the change marks a shift from the traditional lump-sum payments, offering greater flexibility for football enthusiasts.
For YouTube TV subscribers, the monthly plan is priced at $31.50, totaling $378 annually—the same as the current lump-sum price. Non-subscribers, accessing NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube’s Primetime Channels, will pay $40 per month, equating to the yearly lump-sum cost of $480. According to YouTube’s NFL Sunday Ticket pricing page, the monthly plan is non-cancelable, with the first payment due at purchase, locking subscribers in for the full season.
The option aims to ease the financial burden of the package, which previously required a single payment of $378 for YouTube TV subscribers or $480 for non-subscribers, or an option into four payments. Now, though, you have the option for smaller monthly payments.
NFL Sunday Ticket, exclusive to YouTube since 2023, delivers all out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games broadcast on FOX and CBS. YouTube TV subscribers also benefit from access to over 100 live channels, including local and national NFL games, for $82.99 per month. Non-subscribers can purchase the package standalone via Primetime Channels, though at a higher cost.
YouTube’s move follows its acquisition of NFL Sunday Ticket rights from DirecTV for a reported $2 billion annually. The platform has since introduced features like customizable multiview, live chat, and Fantasy Football integration, enhancing the viewing experience. However, the monthly option is unavailable in seven states—Georgia, New York, Minnesota, Nevada, Missouri, Tennessee, and New Jersey—due to local regulations.
As the 2025 NFL season approaches, the monthly payment plan offers fans a new way to enjoy every Sunday game without breaking the bank, reinforcing YouTube’s commitment to expanding access to premium sports content.
