The 2025 NBA Playoffs are underway, featuring a mix of seasoned contenders and emerging teams. ESPN and TNT will combine to bring fans all of the action throughout the next couple of months as a king of basketball will be crowned with the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Western Conference Matchups
In the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder secured the top seed and look to bring the city their first title behind the play of MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The Golden State Warriors clinched the seventh seed after a 121-116 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, behind the duo of Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler III, who combined for 75 points. The Warriors are set to face a young second-seeded Houston Rockets team.
Other notable matchups include the duo of LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets taking on Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and the LA Clippers.
Eastern Conference Matchups
Over in the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers stand at the top in the seeding.
The Orlando Magic secured the seventh seed and will face Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and the reigning champion Boston Celtics in the opening round.
The New York Knicks are matched up against the Detroit Pistons, while the Indiana Pacers will go head-to-head with division rival Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and the Milwaukee Bucks.
