Disney+ has given fans of The Simpsons a new way to watch the long-running series. Starting today, Disney+ will have a 24/7 The Simpsons channel featuring 767 episodes across seasons 1-35. The episodes will stream in chronological order at launch.
The new 24/7 channel is available only with Disney+ Premium, the ad-free plan.
“From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of The Simpsons, and we’re happy to oblige,” said Gabe Lewis, SVP of Programming & Content Curation, Disney+. “Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favorite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.”
Disney calls the always streaming channel, part of a “lean-back viewing experience.” All Disney+ subscribers have access to some always-on channels including ABC News and Disney+ Playtime for kid-friendly programming. Those with a Disney+ Premium plan will see other 24/7 channels including Hits & Heroes for action titles, Throwbacks for nostalgic content, and Real Life with titles focused on real life stories. The channels are part of Streams on Disney+, curated channels offering continuous viewing, with content from the Disney+ on-demand library.
