ONE Championship, in collaboration with Prime Video, kicks off 2025 with ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev. The event, live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, showcases a mix of MMA, Muay Thai, and submission grappling. Airing on January 10 in the United States, the night features two high-stakes MMA World Title bouts and some of the biggest names in martial arts.
In the main event, ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai of China defends his title against undefeated Kyrgyzstani challenger Akbar Abdullaev. Kai, China’s first male MMA World Champion, enters with an incredible 12-fight winning streak, while Abdullaev boasts a perfect finishing record and aims to make history by claiming the belt.
The co-main event sees No. 2 contender Denice Zamboanga of the Philippines take on Ukraine’s Alyona Rassohyna for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title. Zamboanga is chasing her long-awaited chance at gold after an injury sidelined Stamp Fairtex, while Rassohyna looks to set up a title unification match by building on her win over Fairtex in MMA.
Other matchups include former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion John Lineker transitioning to Muay Thai against two-time Lumpinee Stadium World Champion Kulabdam Sor Kor Piek Uthai. Additionally, submission grappling stars Dante Leon and Tommy Langaker face off in a heated rivalry, while North American Muay Thai standouts Luke Lessei and Cody Jerome battle for supremacy.
