Apple is kicking off 2025 with a bang for fitness enthusiasts, delivering the most comprehensive update to its Apple Fitness+ service since its launch was announced today. Packed with new programs, features, and partnerships, this update aims to motivate and empower users to achieve their health and wellness goals in the new year.
New Programs to Strengthen and Energize:
Leading the charge is an all-new three-week full-body strength training program designed collaboratively by the entire Apple Fitness+ training team. This unique program marks a first for the service, with each week focusing on different aspects of strength training. The program is designed to be repeated, encouraging consistency and building momentum for long-term fitness success.
“No matter where people are on their health and well-being journey, Fitness+ makes it easy to get started and stay motivated with workouts and meditations that are welcoming to all,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies. “Whether people want to boost their cardio with the newest workout type, Kickboxing; move to Beyoncé’s latest hits; or wind down before bed with a meditation, there really is something for everyone to take care of their body and mind in the new year.”
Capitalizing on the surging popularity of pickleball, Apple Fitness+ is introducing a new program dedicated to this exciting sport. Developed and led by Canadian professional pickleball player Catherine Parenteau, the program features workouts designed to improve pickleball skills and enhance overall fitness.
Mastering Yoga and Meditation:
For those seeking to deepen their yoga and meditation practice, Apple Fitness+ introduces new programs focused on challenging poses and breathwork techniques. “Yoga Peak Poses” guides users through mastering complex poses like Dancer, Twisted Hand to Toe, and Crow, while “Introduction to Breath Meditation” teaches five key techniques for enhancing mindfulness and focus.
New Trainers, Music, and Partnerships:
Adding to the excitement, renowned dancer Alex Wong joins the Apple Fitness+ team as a guest trainer, bringing his unique expertise and energy to the platform. New guests are also featured on Apple’s “Time to Walk” podcasts, offering inspiring stories and motivational insights.
Music lovers can enjoy new workout playlists featuring the sounds of Janet Jackson, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Coldplay. And in a significant partnership, Apple Fitness+ is integrating with Strava, allowing users to share detailed workout data on their Strava profiles.
A Comprehensive Approach to Wellness:
This comprehensive update underscores Apple’s commitment to providing a holistic approach to health and wellness. With its diverse range of workouts, expert guidance, and motivating features, Apple Fitness+ empowers users to achieve their fitness goals and embrace a healthier lifestyle in 2025.
