Cord cutters will see a new free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platform soon as DIRECTV will be launching MyFree DIRECTV.
Launching on Friday, November 15, the FAST platform will be available nationwide online, via mobile and on select smart TVs and streaming devices.
The FAST service will be aggregated with the integration of DIRECTV’s Your TV. The customized experience utilizes users You TV’s selected favorites with their most watched content to immediately put programming at the forefront from the moment the TV is turned on.

General Manager of MyFree DIRECTV Kent Rees will oversee the company’s FAST operation. Rees is a 20-year veteran of the industry, recently joined DIRECTV and has experience leading the expansion of Sling Freestream.
