Amazon continues to enhance its free ad-supported streaming service, Fire TV Channels, with the addition of content from ESPN. The app, pre-installed on Fire TV and Echo Show devices, now features ESPN clips, highlights, press conferences, and interviews across a broad range of sports, including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis.

According to a report from AFTVnews, fans can also enjoy snippets from popular ESPN original shows like SportsCenter, First Take, and Get Up. Accessing this new content is easy: simply open the Fire TV Channels app on your Fire TV device, ask Alexa for the latest from ESPN on your Echo Show, or browse the sports category in the Fire TV search tab.

This expansion of sports content on Fire TV Channels follows a previous addition of sports videos about a year ago, further solidifying Amazon’s commitment to providing a diverse range of free programming for its users. The move also aligns with the growing trend of integrating sports content into streaming platforms to attract and retain viewers.

With this latest update, Fire TV Channels offers an even more compelling proposition for cord cutters and sports enthusiasts, providing access to a wealth of free sports content without the need for additional subscriptions or fees. All of this as Amazon and others are trying to grow their ad-supported content to drive up ad revenue.
