Did you sit down to watch preseason NFL football yesterday only to find the game was blacked-out on Hulu, YouTube TV, or some other service? Sadly, you are not alone; but we have good news that these blackouts won’t happen during the regular NFL season.

NFL preseason games are sold differently than NFL regular-season games. That is why you see many of them on channels that typically don’t offer NFL games like The CW or ABC. Sadly, when the NFL sold rights to preseason games, they didn’t include rights to stream the games until recently. Also, NFL Sunday Ticket does not include preseason games.

If your local team’s game is on the NFL Network, it will likely be blacked out as it is airing on a local TV station. If you see that message on the NFL Network, check your other local TV stations, it is likely streaming on one of them.

The good news is NFL+ will give you every out-of-market preseason game this year. For the second year in a row NFL+ is making it easy to watch out-of-market games in the preseason.
