If you live in a Mediacom Communications market you now have a new low price internet option if you qualify.
Today Mediacom Communications launched a new 10 Mbps down 1 Mbps up speed for just $9.95 a month. It even comes with a free Wi-Fi enabled modem. The service, Connect2Compete, is offered in partnership with national non-profit EveryoneOne and will be available to students and families that qualify for the National School Lunch Program.
“Addressing digital inclusion is a priority. We must ensure all residents have the capability to empower their lives through digital technology” said Carbondale, Ill. Economic development director Steven Mitchell in a statement “The Connect2Compete initiative launched by Mediacom in partnership with EveryoneOn attacks this issue head on by offering low-income families with school age children an affordable internet service option.”
AT&T Internet is also offering a 10 Mbps down option for $10 a month through a similar plan. If you happen to live in one of 15 HD-assisted projects you can get internet for as cheap as $5 a month.
To learn more about the plans you will want to contact your internet provider and ask if they offer a Connect2Compete package and if you qualify for it.
