Today it was announced that Paramount+ and showtime will merge into one service. The newly combined service will also be rebranded later on in 2023.

“While we are confident this is the right move for our company, our consumers, and our partners, we know this change brings uncertainty for the teams working on these brands and businesses,” Bakish wrote in a memo to employees. “We are committed to being as transparent and thoughtful as possible throughout this process, and we expect to share additional details in the coming weeks.”

This change will only affect the premium tier of Paramount+. That tier will get the new showtime content. Other tiers will remain as they are now.

At this time we do not know when this change will happen other than it will happen in 2023.
