Spring football will make its long-awaited return when the United States Football League (USFL) takes the field on Saturday, April 16, 2022. The 8-team league will play 43 games this season and it’s not affiliated with the 1985 league of the same name; however, the 2022 league owns the trademarks and team names from the previous league.

Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama will be the home of every single regular game during the league’s inaugural season. The 2022 USFL Playoffs will take place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
