Justin Thomas looks to defend his championship against 143 players when the best golfers in the world tee off at the 2022 Players Championship. The four-day event will have a $20 million purse with a winner’s share of $3.6 million. Patrick Cantlay, Jon Rah,m, Viktor Hovland, Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and Daniel Berger are just a few of the notable golfers joining Thomas at TPC Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Established in 1974, The Players Championship has the highest purse of any tournament in golf. Unofficially known as the “5th Major,” the event is not a major, but it usually features players in the top 50 world rankings. The 2022 edition of the event will be its 49th edition and the 41st to take place at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass.
