Nominees for the 2021 People’s Choice Awards were announced today and streaming content appears throughout every major movie and television category. From Prime Video original movies The Tomorrow War and Coming 2 America to a Disney+ hat-trick featuring MCU heavyweights The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki streaming content looks to dominate this year’s ceremony.
This is Us leads all TV content with 6 nominations and F9: The Fast Saga is in the driver seat on the film side with 8 nominations. Netflix original Squid Game received a nomination for Most Bingeworthy Show of 2021, and it will have tough competition in a loaded category that includes fellow Netflix series Outer Banks (4 nominations) and Cobra Kai (3 nominations), Disney+’s Loki (4 nominations), Apple TV+’sTed Lasso (4 nominations), and HBO’s The White Lotus (3 nominations), and more.
Beginning today, fans can vote for their favorite nominees of the 40 categories, online at www.votepca.com or on Twitter, through Nov. 17. On a special Turbo Tuesday, Nov. 9, votes cast that day are counted twice.
A host has yet to be announced for the 47th edition of the popular award show. The ceremony will air on NBC and E! simultaneously on Dec. 7 at 9 p.m., from the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California.
