The WNBA and Amazon have teamed up to stream the championship game of the 2023 Commissioner’s Cup Presented by Coinbase exclusively on Prime Video. The third annual title game of the in-season tournament will feature returning champion Las Vegas Aces hosting the New York Liberty.
Emmy winners Michael Grady and Sarah Kustok serving as play-by-play announcer and lead analyst, respectively. Joining Grady and Kustok are former NBA All-Star Baron Davis as a contributing analyst and Zora Stephenson as a sideline reporter.
As an in-season competition, the Commissioner’s Cup designates a portion of the games (10 games per team) during the first half of the WNBA season as Cup play. The teams that stand at the top of each conference based on their record during Cup play advance to the Commisioner’s Cup Championship Game for a chance to win the $500,000 prize pool.
Other prizes include the opportunity to earn more than $30,000 each for the players on the winning team. The players on the runner-up team can earn as much as $10,000 each, and all participating players will receive $5,000 in cryptocurrency from Coinbase.
