New Girl

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Need to do some chillin’ out, maxin’, and relaxin’? Will Smith brings that front and center in this TV classic. When Will gets sent to his aunt and uncle’s house in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel-Air, he is the ultimate fish out of water. The show’s iconic cast explores the meaning of family and reminds us that people can change for the better always. With perfect comedic timing from the greats like Smith himself and James Avery, this show will definitely get you out of any funk you are in and get you laughing.

This new Amazon Original is a sci-fi comedy must watch. It’s set in a future where people can upload their consciousness to a digital afterlife. Nathan, played by Robbie Ammell, tragically dies but not before he agrees to be uploaded to a luxurious (read expensive) afterlife experience. Paid for by his almost fiancé, Nathan struggles to acclimate to this strange afterlife while still trying to maintain some sort of relationship with his friends and family back in the real world. If you’re looking for something to transport you to a different world this show does just that by sharing what a digital future could look like.

Jane The Virgin 

Based on a loose adaptation of a Venezuelan telenovela, Jane the Virgin has everything you would want in a dramedy. Love triangles, accidental artificial insemination, a few murder mysteries, and topped with an ominous narrator, this show really has it all. When Jane finds out she’s pregnant from a doctor’s visit gone awry, her whole life changes. She’s in love with Michael but carrying Rafael’s baby, a man she met by pure coincidence once. This show will have you hooked with every episode.

The Big Bang Theory 

Sheldon and Leonard are best friends, roommates, and brilliant. Physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology, they find quantum physics easy but social skills much harder. When a pretty waitress moves in next door, they form a friendship that helps build their social lives and begin to realize that street smarts can be just as valuable as book smarts.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel 

Need some sweet nostalgia in your life? From the director of Gilmore Girls, Amy Sherman-Palladino does it again with packed hour long episodes filled with witty banter and perfect comedic timing.

The Good Place

How I Met Your Mother 

Few shows do narration justice but How I Met Your Mother is one of them. Ted Mosby, a hopeless romantic, starts the series by telling his kids the story of how he met their mother. With a quirky cast of characters including his couple friends Marshall and Lily, the playboy Barney, and the anti-commitment Robin, each episode is filled with lighthearted anecdotes that’ll make anyone smile.

Centered around the ensemble cast featuring America Ferrara as Amy, this comedy will have you looking at big box stores in a new light. Complete with blue vests, this show follows Amy and her gang of quirky coworkers through the hilarity of their day to day life with a hint of real world problems. This is a great show to zone out to and will have you walking into your local superstore with a whole new perspective.
