Update: It looks like the FS GO app no longer offers BTN to Sling TV Subscribers.

Well it looks like at least for right now you can watch the Big Ten Network with your Sling TV subscription.

First, before we tell you how to watch BTN with Sling TV let us take a look at what has been happening with Sling TV and the Big Ten Network this week.

On Monday according to several reports Mark Silverman the president of BTN said “BTN will be available on Hulu, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV and DIRECTV NOW — all over-the-top, Internet broadcasters — coming in the fall, a decision that addresses the declining numbers in cable subscribers, particularly those younger Americans who are “cutting the cord” or not signing up for cable at all.”

Several sites ran stories saying BTN was coming to Sling TV. Very quickly though Sling TV came out with a statement saying that this was not true and that Sling TV has no plans to add the Big Ten Network. Today though if you go to the Fox Sports Go app and login with your Sling TV info you can now stream the Big Ten Network. Here is how you do it:

This could be a glitch as Sling TV made it clear that they have no plans to add the Big Ten Network but for now, you can enjoy some Big Ten sports with your Sling TV login.

I would think if Fox want’s to allow it’s Sling customers access to BTN for free they don’t need to get permission. from Dish.

Yep, but you never know how their deals are structured. I would think it would be more of a PITA for Fox to remove BTN specifically from it’s app than it’s worth.
