This week Open Signal released its report of the best wireless networks on the market. According to that report, T-Mobile is once again the winner, not only for the best download speeds but also in many other categories.
For cord cutters the most important score is overall 5G download speed. According to that report, T-Mobile’s 5G download speeds now average 226.7 Mbps. That is compared to Verizon at 150.5 Mbps and AT&T at 142.1 Mbps. This is great news for anyone who uses T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet service, because that is enough to use eleven (11) 4K streams with most streaming services at the same time. This is great news for T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet.
“The leaderboards are unchanged in this most recent report on the mobile network experience in the U.S. T-Mobile continues to win the most awards, with overall awards making up six of its nine outright wins. Conversely, Verizon’s five outright wins feature mostly 5G awards, and it retains all three 5G experiential awards. AT&T holds onto its singular win, Availability,” Open Signal said in its release about the most recent tests.
T-Mobile also won the best video experience award that looked at the best quality of streaming video. Other categories T-Mobile won are best live video, gaming, download speeds, and upload speeds overall.
Verizon pulled off several big wins including best coverage experience and, when just looking at 5G, the best 5G upload speed and best 5G video experience.
AT&T only won one category with the best availability of any network.
