Today, Sling TV announced that they are expanding its Cloud DVR First Look program to all Roku and Android users. This means that Sling TV subscribers who own a Roku streaming player, Roku TV, Android TV or Android mobile device can now add Cloud DVR to their subscription at $5 per month for 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage.
When first announced Cloud DVR First Look a few weeks ago it was exclusively available for purchase to customers with an Amazon device. Sling TV says that “We will be expanding Cloud DVR support to additional devices in the coming weeks, starting with Apple TV.” So hopefully Apple TV owners will soon also have a cloud DVR.
Here are some features currently available on Cloud DVR:
- Watch anytime, anywhere Record your favorites and watch whenever you want across all Amazon Fire TVs and Fire tablets, Android mobile devices, Android TVs, Roku streaming players and Roku TVs.
- Conflict-free recording Record multiple programs simultaneously, and forget about recording conflicts.
- Keep recordings as long as you want With Sling TV, your recordings wont expire as long as you remain a Sling TV subscriber with Cloud DVR.
- Auto-managed recordings Sling TV will make room for new recordings by deleting your old recordings as you reach capacity, starting with your oldest watched recording, so you can binge on your new favorite show.
You can add Sling TV’s Cloud DVR to your account in your account settings.
