YouTube TV’s Price Is Going Up in a Few Weeks (Subscribe Now to Be Grandfathered In)

Worried couple reading a letter sitting on a couch in the living room at homeA few weeks ago YouTube TV announced that they are adding new channels but also that they will be raising their price. Starting March 14 new subscribers to YouTube TV will be paying $40 a month for the service.

The good news is you can still get the service for just $35 a month if you subscribe now. According to reports YouTube TV will be honoring the current price for current subscribers as long as they stay subscribed. (Always subject to change.)

With this price change YouTube TV has added TNT, Adult Swim, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, truTV, and Turner Classic Movies. They will also be adding sports networks such as NBA TV, MLB Network, and you will be able to subscribe to add-on services like NBA League Pass. (Note: YouTube TV has not said when the MLB Network would be added.)

This makes YouTube TV a great choice for NBA fans, who need channels such as TBS and NBA TV. The addition of the MLB Network and TBS makes YouTube TV a far better fit for MLB fans. Add in the regional sports networks YouTube TV has, and you suddenly have a very interesting sports service for many Americans.

YouTube TV will also be rolling out in new markets including Lexington, Dayton, Honolulu, El Paso, Burlington, Plattsburgh, Richmond, Petersburg, Mobile, Syracuse, Champaign, Springfield, Columbia, Charleston, Harlingen, Wichita, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton.

The downside is that starting March 14, 2018, new subscribers will pay $40 a month. The best we can tell, current subscribers will continue to pay $35 a month, so make sure to subscribe before March 14 if you want the lower price.
