YouTube TV Will Add The Weather Channel & More Channels in Partnership with Allen Media Group

Comedian, producer and media mogul Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group has announced a new multi-year partnership with Google to help accelerate growth across the Media Group’s multiple platforms. AMG is also set to expand its YouTube TV carriage in 2022 starting with The Weather Channel, with more networks launching later in the year, according to Deadline.

The companies will work together to bring AMG’s streaming offerings to more consumers through Google Play on Google TVs, Android phones and tablets, and more.

Additionally, the deal will allow AMG to utilize Google Cloud to make apps faster, connect to audiences everywhere, and improve overall business decisions using insights from Google’s data.

“All of our Allen Media Group properties are growing at an unprecedented rate, and our partnership with Google is a key step in our continued global transformation,” said Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Allen Media Group. “By leveraging Google’s technology, distribution, marketing, ad sales platforms, enormous capital support, and expertise, Allen Media Group will seamlessly build and enhance our reach and revenue worldwide.”
