YouTube TV Teams Up With AMC To Add 3 New Free Channels

Today YouTube TV quietly added three new free channels from AMC. These new channels mark a change for YouTube TV as they start to add free content that is add supported to their lineup.

These new channels include All Reality WE TV, The Walking Dead Universe, and Stories by AMC.

The practice of adding free channels to build up the live TV service is not new. Fubo, Sling TV, and Philo have all been offering free channels from ad-supported services in recent months. Now YouTube TV has joined the practice.

YouTube TV already had a few free ad-supported channels like the T2 channel from the Tennis Channel. Now though, it seems that they are going all in on adding more channels.

By including these free channels on YouTube TV it allows YouTube TV customers to find all of these channels in one app without needing to switch back and further between free apps. In our testing we were also able to record programs from these free channels something you can not do with other free services.

No word yet on any other free channels being added to YouTube TV.

YouTube TV was not available for comment at the time of this posting.
