YouTube TV supports up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, and up to 720p at 60 frames per second. However, not all channels will provide that quality. Video quality has been a common complaint among streaming viewers, including YouTube TV subscribers.
Over the weekend, YouTube TV users took to Reddit to share their experiences with the video quality on the streaming service. Several noted that compression issues have been resolve and many are saying that picture quality overall has improved dramatically, with dark scenes becoming more clear and text looking more crisp.
Those posting about the change on Reddit have noted that they’re using 4K devices, both 4K TVs and the Fire Stick 4K. Even those casting content from smartphones have noticed a significant difference in picture quality when compared to other streaming services.
