YouTube TV Now Supports Amazon’s Fire TV Single Sign-On (The Official YouTube TV App is Likely Coming Soon)

youtube tv logoEarlier this year Google and Amazon announced that YouTube TV would be coming to the Fire TV this year. No date has been announced as Amazon and Google both just say the app will come sometime this year.

Now we have a hint that the official YouTube TV is coming soon as overnight Amazon added YouTube TV to the list of supported single sign-on services. This means when you log into one app on the Fire TV using YouTube TV all apps that support single sign-on will now auto log you in.

Amazon is holding a big event today to announce new hardware. It is very possible that the YouTube TV app or even the YouTube Kids app will be announced for the Fire TV at that event.

To access the signal sign-on feature on the Fire TV just launch any supported app and sign in with your pay-TV provider. After you do that once all supported apps that you pay for will be unlocked. As best I can tell there is no option to do this in the settings and you must do it by launching a pay-TV provider.
