YouTube TV is offering users an incentive for recommending the service to friends. The streaming platform has introduced a new referral bonus program that will give both the new users and the customer who sent the referral link a credit off their next bill.
Now, current YouTube TV subscribers will be able to send a customized referral link to their friends who will get $10 off their first monthly subscription bill when they sign up. In turn, the referring friend will see a $20 credit on their account if the referral link is used.
To send a link, users can click on their profile icons, and then hit ‘refer a friend’. You’ll get a unique referral link to share with a friend. Follow the steps to copy or share your unique referral link. To use a referral code, open the link to redeem your referral. On the next page, select the button to start your YouTube TV trial and follow the steps to sign up for a Base Plan.
Note that users must be subscribed to the YouTube TV Base Plan, priced at $65 in order to send a referral. You can send up to 10 referrals, cashing in on a max of $200 total.
