YouTube TV Just Went Live on Android TV & Xbox One

Earlier this week Google announced a new app for Xbox One & Android TV. Today that app went live in the Google Play store and the Xbox One.

With this update YouTube TV is now available on select Android TV devices, including Nvidia Shield; and those TVs with Android TV built-in, like Sony; plus the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and soon Xbox One X in the near future.

This is a diffrent listing from the YouTube TV app for phones and tablets. You can find the app for Android TV on the Google Play Store HERE.

Google went on to say apps for LG, Samsung, and Sony Smart TVs are in the works as is an app for the Apple TV in the next few weeks. No word on when the Roku Channel will be coming but it is rumored to be in the works.

This is a huge step in the right direction for YouTube TV as it brings them more in line with their competitors like HuluDIRECTV NOWPlayStation VueSling TV, and more.
