YouTube’s engineering team is investigating a possible bug impacting YouTube TV’s progress bar. Recently, Cord Cutters News readers have reported that sometimes when they fast forward on YouTube TV they can fast forward past the live point on a YouTube TV show. This results in YouTube TV not knowing what to do and breaking the app.

Now YouTube TV has confirmed that they are aware of the issue and are working on fixing it so that you will no longer be able to fast forward past the live mark.

Here is a statement YouTube TV issued on Reddit about this issue:

Appreciate the report – our engineering team is already looking into this progress bar issue.

This all comes as YouTube TV rolled out an update earlier this week. Yesterday, YouTube TV started to roll out an update to its Roku app. This update brings bug fixes and a new feature that has long been requested.

Now, finally, Roku users will find a clock in the top left corner of their live guide with the current time. A clock has been one of the most requested new features on Roku over the last few years. Already, Google rolled out the clock on Google TV, but now finally, Roku has the new clock.

YouTube TV also seems to have rolled out minor bug fixes and improvements to the Roku app. If you do not have the updated app, try updating your app to get the new features. To do this on the Roku Homescreen, hove over the YouTube TV app and select the * button on your Roku remote. That will open a new menu with an option to update that app.

This is breaking news we will post more as we learn more.
