Some YouTube TV users are noticing an update in the design of their grid guide on the live TV streaming service. A subscriber posted a photo of their screen, shown below, in a Facebook group for YouTube TV users, showing a checkmark on the titles in their library, a description of the selected show with the air date, and a picture-in-picture preview of the selected show.

While only some subscribers are seeing the new guide when they open the app (Chromecast with Google TV and Roku users have been posting about the update on social media) it looks like this might be the first of several updates coming to YouTubeTV. Neal Mohan Chief Product Officer of YouTube, shared in a blog post last month that YouTube TV subscribers can expect some updates to the service’s interface this year.

“One thing that I love to hear is how much people appreciate the YouTube TV experience, and we’re going to keep pushing forward on even more innovative features for our members,” Mohan wrote.

Specifics about the updates weren’t shared in the post, but Mohan promised changes that would improve the overall user experience. “I’m delighted to share that this year, we’ll launch a redesign that will further streamline the user interface, including updates to Library and Live, which will give our viewers more control over how they organize and watch their favorite content with an even smoother experience.”
