Updated: YouTube TV is Down With Many Users Able to Access Only Limited Channels

youtube tv logoIf you’re having trouble watching TV with YouTube TV tonight, you’re not alone. The streaming service has been down for about an hour for many users.

Update: A YouTube TV representative commented on the Reddit post saying “We had an issue and are actively working on recovery. It should have recovered for most users now. If you are still seeing an issue, you can use search to find the channel/show. Playback is working fine.” Some users are still noticing missing channels from their guides, but the service is back to normal for most users.

Update 2: YouTube has confirmed that the issue has been resolved.

We’ve been hearing about the outage from our readers and on Reddit, with YouTube TV users across the country sharing that they aren’t able to watch TV. Many are saying that only certain channels are out while others are saying that the majority of channels are out with only a few available to watch.

If you’re noticing only some channels missing from your guide, some YouTube TV subscribers have commented that refreshing the guide will resolve the problem. Others have noticed that they can access channels by searching for them, which suggests that this might only be an issue with the guide, rather than a complete outage.

We’ll be updating this post as we learn more. If you’re a YouTube TV subscriber and notice that the service is back online please use the contact us button to let us know.
