YouTube TV Is Causing Some Roku Devices to Freeze Up

Have you been watching YouTube TV and suddenly had your Roku freeze up followed by a reboot? This has been a rumored issue for some time, but last night YouTube TV confirmed the issue and says Roku is working on a fix.

Here is a tweet from YouTube TV confirming the issue:

For now, the issue seems to be rare and YouTube TV users can stream for hours without their Roku rebooting. Right now, however, if you experience the issue there seems to be nothing you can do other than wait for Roku to roll out a fix.

Issues like this are not new and not exclusive to Roku or YouTube TV. Apps crashing devices have been reported in the past. Sadly, all the end user can do is wait for an update to roll out.
