Do you miss the ability to quickly jump back to the last channel you watched? Now, YouTube TV has added the ability to quickly jump back to the last channel you watched, making watching sports easier.

Today, YouTube TV on Apple TV, and some readers say on Roku added the ability to let you jump back to the last channel you watched by holding the select or OK buttons on your remote. If you hold down that button, you will return to the last channel you watched.

Now, a few notes on this: You will only jump back to the live moment on that channel, and YouTube won’t resume where you left off. This feature has also not been rolled out to all devices yet. Sadly, not all Apple TV or Roku customers have this new feature yet.

YouTube already lets you see the last few channels you visited by pushing down on the remote twice when watching a live stream. From there, you can select what channel you want to watch next on most streaming devices. This new update just makes changing channels even faster.

This new feature will make watching sports easy, allowing you to jump back and forth quickly between multiple channels.

This comes as B/R Sports and CNN Max were recently added to the YouTube TV guide. (Thanks to the readers who let us know about this new feature.) Max subscribers could always access this content through the Max app now, they can find these two 24/7 channels inside the YouTube TV guide.

Both of these channels launched on Max in the fall of 2024. Now, YouTube TV is building them into a guide for anyone who pays for Max through YouTube TV.
