Google says their YouTube TV app is still scheduled to launch on 2014 and 2015 smart TVs from LG and Samsung. You will also see YouTube TV coming to Apple TV and Roku streaming devices in the future.
Here is what the app looks like:
This is a huge step in the right direction for YouTube TV as it brings them more in line with their competitors like Hulu, DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and more.
This means that YouTube TV will be available on Android TV devices, including Nvidia Shield; and those TVs with Android TV built-in, like Sony; plus the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and soon Xbox One X in the near future. Now you can add Samsung and LG smart TVs to that list.
