YouTube TV Adds TV Everywhere Access to Discovery Networks

Last week YouTube TV added Discovery Network channels including Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and MotorTrend to its lineup. Now YouTube TV has been added to the list of supported TV providers for Discovery’s TV Everywhere apps. This means now with your YouTube TV login, you can access even more Discovery content on apps from Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, & More.

One Important Note: We can confirm that the YouTube TV login is working on website and Android apps for these networks. A few have reported that apps on some streaming players have yet to be updated with YouTube TV support. Typically they are updated within 24 hours after support for websites and mobile apps are added.

YouTube TV does offer a huge collection of content on-demand through the YouTube TV app. Yet some on-demand content can only be found through the network’s app. Now that YouTube TV supports app logins for networks like Discovery you can now have the same experience that cable customers get but with YouTube TV.

Have you tested out these network apps on a Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV? Leave us a comment and let us know if they are working for you.
