YouTube TV Adds New RSN

With the arrival of the New Year, NBA fans in the Portland market have a new way to stream the Portland Trail Blazers on YouTube TV.

The team announced that beginning this year, in-market fans can watch live games on KUNP, which is now the flagship station of the Rip City TV Network.

Beginning January 1, Rip City will have even more ways to access Trail Blazers games as KUNP within the Portland Market will officially be the Portland flagship station of the Rip City TV Network. The station will air all local and non-exclusive nationally televised games as well as pre and postgame coverage, episodes of the Emmy-Award winning team docuseries – The Trail, and more Trail Blazers content.

It was previously reported with this move, fans would have more ways to watch Trail Blazers games on streaming services.

Last year on Media Day, Portland Trail Blazers President of Business Operations Dewayne Hankins explained that on January 1, 2025, the team’s games airing on KUNP will be available on live TV streaming platforms, including Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV.

YouTube TV subscribers took to social media to express their frustration after receiving an error message indicating that the January 2 game against the Lakers was blacked out on KUNP. However, as of Saturday, January 4, viewers in the Portland market were able to watch the Bucks-Blazers game without any issues. This gives Blazers fans another multi-channel live TV streaming service to watch their favorite team, including DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo.

For those who live in the market and want to stream the Trail Blazers during the 2024-25 season, the team also launched BlazerVision, their direct-to-consumer streaming platform. Every game that airs on the Rip City Television Network can be viewed live or on-demand for only $89.99 for the season. If you want to subscribe monthly, the service is only $19.99 per month. You can also receive a complimentary BlazerVision subscription for the 2024-2025 season if you’re a full or half-season ticket member.

With more NBA teams transitioning from the old RSN model, expect more options to watch live on OTA channels. As this change continues, fans should have more options than ever to stream their favorite teams.
