YouTube TV Adds Multiview, Allowing You to Watch 4 Games at Once

Today YouTube TV released an early access version of its multiview feature, allowing you to watch four streams at once. This product is still in beta, but YouTube TV is rolling it out in time for March Madness, letting you watch four games at once.

Right now, the new feature is only available on sports channels and is targeting March Madness which starts this week.

To use this feature, you will find a new multiview option at the top of your home screen in the “Top Picks For You” section.

You will be able to switch back and forth between the different audio feeds but can only listen to audio from one game at a time.

Right now, this option only works with sports events, so no option to watch the news and sports together, for example.

To make this happen, YouTube TV is creating customer channels with 4 games on at once. Instead of mixing it together on your streaming player, it will all be done on YouTube TVs services making for a better-streaming experience.

Right now, this product is in beta, and multiview will be upgraded in time for the NFL season with the new NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV. This is one of the improvements YouTube TV promised when they announced the NFL Sunday Ticket was coming to YouTube TV.
