Eddie Murphy fans probably already know his film Dolemite is My Name premiered on Netflix October 25th. But what they might not know is you can watch the original Dolemite on which it was based, for free on Tubi.
Rudy Ray Moore started as a stand-up comedian in the 1960s who adopted the alter ego of an urban hero he heard about from a local homeless man… and just like that Dolemite was created. Moore started incorporating his new persona into his comedy albums and later created a film about the character.
