You Can Now Once Again Move Apps Around Your Fire TV Home Screen

Over a month ago Amazon removed the ability to move apps around in your app list. This change upset many Fire TV users as they no longer could customize what apps showed up in what order. Now with an update rolling out today, Amazon has restored the ability to move apps around on the Fire TV home screen.

This update was first spotted by AFTVnews. It seems that the removal of the ability to move apps around the Fire TV home screen came as Amazon was testing the ability to pin apps on your home screen. Now though Amazon seems to have agreed that the old system was better and are now restoring the ability to move apps.

To update your Fire TV just got to Settings, select Device, there you will find a section for My Fire TV, next select About, after that scroll down to you find Software Version, in there you will find an option to Update. This will force the Fire TV to update instead of waiting for it to randomly install the update over the next few days.
