You Can Now Change How Fast Amazon’s Alexa Talks

amazon echo on table next to bedAlexa is an excellent source of information and entertainment. One of the complaints in the past, though has been that it can be a very slow-talking option to hear the weather or news. Now Amazon has added the ability to increase or even slow down the rate that Alexa talks.

Now if you ask your Alexa powered device to “speak faster” or “speak slower” your Alexa will speed up or slow down.

Amazon also added Alexa Announcements to all Fire TV models. This allows you to make an announcement through your Alexa speakers and Fire TVs.

How Alexa Announcement Works:

To receive an Alexa Announcement, the TV must be on and turned to the Fire TV input. You will receive audible and visual notifications to inform you of incoming announcements, at which time playback will pause, and audio will play through any connected external speaker. Once the announcement is finished, media playback will resume automatically.
