Xbox One Update Makes the Console More Cord Cutting Friendly

The newest Xbox One dashboard update has rolled out with features that will not only improve gaming but could make the console better for streaming as well.

All Xbox One consoles will get the update this week. The Verge reports that the update is available now and consoles will get the 10.0.18363.9135 update automatically.

With the update, the dashboard will get a new look for improved features. While the updates are obviously gaming focused, they can also make it easier for Xbox One users to organize, launch, and watch content with their streaming apps.

One new feature that could improve the streaming experience is the updated Home screen. Users can now customize the screen to not only show the most recently used apps but added rows with handpicked apps for quick navigation. The feature has been tested for more than six months with users finding that it’s made finding and launching apps faster and easier.

If you’re downloading both games and streaming services, storage might be a concern. The update also improved Storage Management Suggestions. Rather than Xbox One suggesting how to free up space, users will now have a Move option to move items to external storage to make space on the console.
