WWE Summer Slam Location Reportedly Set, Summer Events Scheduled

As Wrestlemania season has concluded, WWE is moving closer to their next Big Four pay-per-view SummerSlam. Known as `The Biggest Party of the Summer,’ host of the Mat Men podcast Adrian Zarian tweeted that this year’s event is rumored to take place live from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The WWE confirmed Friday morning that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21 and the official announcement about the location of the event will be shared during the 2021 Belmont Stakes’ pre-race show next Saturday, June 5.

Due to the pandemic, this will be the first SummerSlam to take place outside of the WWE Thunderdome since 2019, and the first to take place in an outdoor stadium since SummerSlam 1992 was held at Wembley Stadium. Allegiant Stadium has the capacity to fill up to 72,000 fans and time will tell if there will be any restrictions as the news breaks.

Since Peacock is the exclusive home of the WWE, fans of the WWE Universe will be able to stream the event. For only $4.99/month, Peacock Premium gives you access to all of the WWE’s live pay-per-view events, hours of original content, WWE documentaries, WWE’s expansive vault of wrestling, and access to hit shows, and movies available on Peacock.

The interesting tidbit to keep in mind is that there’s a boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. scheduled on the same night at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is known for his Ruthless Aggression, but it will be interesting to see if he decides to go head-to-head with a boxing match that is only 2 miles away from SummerSlam.

Along with the date of SummerSlam, WWE also announced its next 21 live events of its summer tour schedule. The tour now includes:
